It's a good one,but I still have to get me that PC_Link cable to upgrade it(it's not included <_< )And up untill now I haven't been able to play DivX movie rips on it.
But that might as well be my own fault 'cause I may be burning them the wrong way.The software included with my DVD-writer doesn't seem to burn them the way I want. :(

All looks very nice, the only problem is that the addin card only 802.11b which IMHO isnt good enough for streaming movies over. I used to have a 11b netgear router upstairs attached to my kazaa box and an 11b card card in my tvout PC downstairs and it just wasnt able to keep the data rate up and the film would start jerking.
Im 802.11g now and that works brilliantly, very occasionally jerks when watchin a big movie ( 2 x 700mb) but hardly noticable.
QP :D

if you burn an .AVI as 'data' it should play it

I'm gonna ask Santa real nice for one of these, I've using my PS2 to watch my DivX/XviD's but its a bit limited on bitrates.
I like the idea of a HDD but I'd like to see the reproduction quality at high bitrates before I splash out. Just gotta find a store in the UK that stocks em.

how does the 80GB hard drive work? you can download movies from the cd/dvd to the hard drive? that's awesome if it does. no more rummaging around for movies. :D

do they read .avi files? cuz it says divx.....but they can be .divx only, uc? any ideas? thx
