when people download em and try to play, they dont relize pirated keys dont work

I have war3 and that screen has nothing to do with an invalid cd-key, It would tell you that you have an invalid key,if that was the case. yes they do check lol. This is something with your modem, firewall(which you said you don't have), or your connection to the internet. sounds like you are somehow blocking your connection to the server, Are you positive you don't have a firewall, maybe your dad put one on or something? do you have a router? these are the areas i would be looking at.
