how does the k-lite codec 1.4 pack work? Does it work like the official divx codec?This means like a windows media player "pluggin"?

Just install it, your media player(s) will use it automatically.
(I found this old question and just felt sorry for this guy/gal :D)

Get updated, I think the latest is 1.6 The pack also comes with tools too. :)
