Movies Freezing

Hi Folks,
Just recently ive noticed that more and more movies that I download are locking up several times during playback on my PC, ths sound keeps going but the picture stops. I have to restart the movie and skip past this point to get it to play.
Ive done a few searches and I understand that this is due to bad frames, is there anything that can sort this out????

the easiest way is to use a player that can play past bad frames and only videolan can offer this http://www.videolan.org
now if you encode to watch in a standalone dvd player you need to remove bad frames in order for it not to get out of sync during the encode
use divx repair http://divxrepair.sourceforge.net/
