Can I suggest a Poll entitled
Who Should Start Polls
With the suggested options being.
0 Admin and Mods Only
0 Anyone (Excluding known arses, the mods could take the privilege away for a period, due to excessive arsism)
0 Board Gods (Excluding bad spellers)
0 Post Whores (Excluding Canadian Widows)
0 Poles
Any other suggestions ( I was going to say ameliorations but thought better of it) greatly appreciated.

Well, I like it the way it is, but I wouldn't mind if board Gods got the privilege as well.
If the ability was given to everyone, lots of newbies would be starting polls, asking the same questions over and over again, clogging up the forum.
So my vote would go to admins, mods, gods, and Belgians. :)

I think that just the Mods should have this ability.
Maybe allow starting polls in the Lounge for the board Gods, but that's all.
You can always ask nicely if you want to start a poll, as long as it is useful and interesting.

MODS should be the only ones to start polls...lets face it, you dont have to do anything to be a God

Leave the polls to the Mods, you can always request in a polite way. :D

Remember in my poll there will always be the arse clause. Perhaps even a marker placed in the sig by the mods. A sort of yellow card thing.

Mods should be the only ones to start polls, if there is something you have an idea fora poll for, just PM one of the Mods, I'm sure they will consider it.

:) I like it the way it is also....yes I do.But I think if we were to ever go the way of alowing GODs or what not to start Polls,let them only do them in the lounge.It is off topic and total chaos in there anyways. :blink:

This is just an observation. It's spam I suppose, but I started this thread (with tongue in cheek it has to be said).
I have noticed that when you come on line you are Captain Sensible with these nice cheery chappy posts. As time goes by you become more and more of a mentalist, taking no pi$h or arsism from anyone. In short you don't suffer fools gladly, you tell it like it is, a true rocker.
Is it because you become too involved in this stuff and forget to take your tablets Martha. I can contact the care in the community people and arrange for a nurse to visit regularly (not in that way). Perhaps we could even get a drip set up. Whatever is best for you. Just don't forget to feed the cats.

If the rules were changed to allow gods to make polls (even just the lounge) imagine how many would just post junk to get to god status. As it is, we already find this sort of thing happening.
So leave it the way it is. Contact a mod if you want a poll made.
Perhaps even a marker placed in the sig by the mods. A sort of yellow card thing.
And I also liked the marker idea. Different color cards for behavior.
