A few changes have been made today.
You can now upload avatars, personal photos and also images within your posts.
Remotely linked avatars and signatures are NOT longer allowed because it is a privacy risk (remotely linked images can fetch many user details like IP, browser, OS and more)
Max. file size for images is 100 KB per image and 150 KB for personal photos.
Copyrighted images / porn / files are NOT allowed. Same goes for torrent files.
Abusing the upload features will result in instant bans - no questions asked.

go to your CP > Avatars > upload it

Sweet! Thanks 7th. But how much space do we get to upload? We wont be able to upload many screenshots this means old screenshots have to be deleted if new one's are needed.
Your step regarding remotely linked pictures was right. I was beginning to think whether anyone read what i had posted.

Also, does it only applies to avatars & sigs or images in general(i hope not)?

No it won't affect the server cause it doesn't matter how much images are displayed.
I forgot to mention one thing: Hotlinking is disabled. If people use an uploaded image on other forums or sites it will be replaced with this one:

Now, if the rules change again - no, it is good intention obviously - but I would
have to control if my personal photo is not too big.
Wouldn't it be dangerous in some ways allowing ppl to upload stuff? I mean do you
have enough space on the board server? I am concerned about the financial
situation if more space is needed.
7th, could you make me a favour - as I am offline the next days until sunday,
could you look up if everything in my profile meets the rules? My avatar is on my
site at gmxhome.de - I think it is not remote on my PC. And to the risk: In my
case it would be not the same risk as my IP changes everytime I dial in
And thanks for checking my profile ;) If you have no time, it is ok as well. I wil try
to do it on sunday.

yes you can as long as it is an image
Only signature / avatar and personal photo remote linking is not allowed.

7th is working on the signature uploader
EDIT: Also Your signature image is to big....it can be at max 495x150 pixels Yours is 165 pixels (h). You know what to do :)

This section will allow you to specify a photo to be used in your profile which is viewable by other board members.
All photos must be no larger than 150 kB.
Photos must be no bigger than 250 pixels by 250 pixels.
Search is the key.
