Broken Code Tags?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: h1

In this thread (http://www.filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=100574), me and some other members were posting ASCII art. Two of my replies broke the layout very badly, and it appeared to be because of an unclosed [ code] tag, even though I was sure I closed it. I went back and added a
tag. After the edit, the layout was still broken and when I went back to edit it again, my
tag had disappeared. What's going on?

Edit: Oops, wrong thread. :P

Can't see the art in that thread

Sometimes the tags mess up when editing or using the buttons, I've noticed that before - you're best off starting the post from scratch again.

edit: five stars, wow only took me a year and a half to get there...

edit edit: ok, I see what you mean now. Only time I've seen that is when people do too many quote in quote in quote posts...

haxor you need to remember your closing and echo tags http://www.mcbriens.net/liam/img/smilies/wedgie.gif

Edit: I think its this (http://www.filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=100574) post that blew up the layout.

@Skillian, Congrats! :beerchug:

People forgot the closing tag.

Edited 3 posts - should be ok now.

It's a "feature" in 1.3

My board's been doing that too. I tried putting the closing tag in but it just doesn't want to take it. It seems to depend on what kinda scripts or code you post too. Or possibly how many characters. ??

Each successive post will shift over by the width of the left margin. I dunno why.

Nice Sig balamm :)

BTW that code tag happens to me sometimes

That's just a sample ;)

Check out the sites :)

Just like the inability to use frames with IPB is a "feature..."

Posted by: balamm

Is that being addressed in 2.0?

I'm not sure I like all the changes.

Like the "top" button on the left for example. It looks too much like phpBB for my liking.
