Ok.. the monitor is sort of discolorred and blurry and there are lines/streaks going across the screen, the streaks move when you move a window around or something.. any suggestions?.. yeah...

does it happen after a restart? or is always there? maybe graphics card overheating. try updating card drivers and monitor driver.

Yeah. Maybe you could tell us what monitor it is.

I can't seem to see it from here.

and graphics card, and maybe rest of system,

Posted by: Virtualbody1234

And what operating system and when does it happen etc...

sounds like a driver problem to me, reinstall the latest drivers for your video card

if the monitor is from viewsonic then i can answer your question:

while viewsonics monitors are HiQ, they have a 4% failure rate within a year...

Posted by: Shiranai_Baka

guys.. im 100% sure its not a software problem.. and the monitor is from samsung.. it just started happening for a month..

Posted by: Virtualbody1234

Listen. Are you trying to keep secrets?

Samsung makes many models of monitors. Which one is it?

If your sure it the monitor that's faulty and not the graphics card then say so.

make sure you do not have any broken, bent, or missing pins on the connector while you are at it.

if possible try connecting the monitor to a different computer to see if it works fine.

does it work fine when you first turn on the computer, ie at the bios screen? if so then atleast well know tis not a driver problem.
