Is there something i can do so i can download a file from a friend? Or is it not possible?

I do believe that you and your friend have to be on the same supernode before you can download from him.... I'm not sure about that though..
Another thing you might try is either Dietk's ip browser or the thing similar to that that someone else made(sorry to whoever made it, i forget your name)

Or install ftp software and load directly from them.
There are lots of members on this board with ftp servers now.

You can't, there are many supernodes out there and he might not be on it. Just use ftp.

Yea, use a FTP program like Bulletproof FTP which I hear is really good.
