hi, i have been trying to d/l acrobat reader 6.0.1 for 2 days now from the main web site but have been unsuccessful, the message 'the page cannot be displayed' keeps coming up. i would be grateful if you could check this out for me or point me in another direction of where i can get it. thank you

the above link doesnt work for me it says 'ftp folder error, we cannot access this folder' etc, anyhoes, why cant i get on to the main web site, i even tried to d/l from download.com but still no luck

Try a different browser dude. Or better yet use an ftp client if you want it bad enough. I dont know why yours dont work

To add, so long as you want it badly enough; why not simply just use the gazillion and one sources available through Kazaa or other P2P software, since you seem to be having problems downloading direct?
No offense or anything, but this is a P2P-centered forum so the solution does seem "kinda, sorta" logical, IMO. :) ;)

That is from the ftp site. It redirects here http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/main.html
I also went to download.com and had no problems downloading 6.0.1.
Also here is a mirror I found http://ftp.up.ac.za/mirrors/adobe.com/acrobatreader/win/6.x/
Just go to goggle and type in "adobe mirrors" :)

thanks bad girl, the second link you posted has worked, i am in the process of d'l, i used the firefox browser aswell, and when i clicked on the abode website an alert came up saying 'there is no data' wow!! well im not bothered now as im d'l it.
edit: and thanks to the rest of the guys for your help and input
