Graphic's Card Advice

Needing some advice on graphic cards. At present I have a 128mb GforceMX 440 and I have just found out it cant run Dues Ex 2 and I really want to play it….its specs are:
CPU: Intel Pentium® 4 1.5Ghz (or AMD Athlonequivalent)
RAM: 512 MB
GRAPHICS: 100% DirectX® 9.0 compatible 3D Card w/ 64 MB
SOUND: Windows 98SE/2000/XP compatible Sound card (100% DirectX® 9.x
compatible)
CD-ROM: Eight-speed (8x) CD-ROM drive or faster.
HARD DRIVE: 400 MB free disk space(DEMO ONLY)
* Supported Chipsets - nVidia GeForce 3Ti/4Ti/Fx (MX series not supported).
Radeon 8500/9XXX or higher. (Pixel/Vertex shader required)
I meet all apart from the graphic card I have seen a ATI 9200 RADEON 128MB --DVI AGP for £45. How much better is it to my MX card? And am I right in sayin it should be ok for the game? Also will that ATI card still run my old games ok?

The 9200 is still a low end card.
as far as I know, it should be able to play the gam, although it would not be a huge improvement over your old card, you'd probably be better off saving your money up and gettin at least a mid range card
have a look at the pinned graphics card thread though, might learn somethin there

Yeah, get at least a 9600 or 9600Pro.

I would recomend something from the old TI 4000 range cheap and outperform all budget competition.

Its not got full DX9 support though.
Got for a bargain 9500/9700 or a 9600.

If possible get a 9500 pro
they are quite hard to find in some places, like here in Canada
but they can easily be softmodded i think,
also the 9600XT is a very nice card, if your thinking of getting a 9600XT get the HIS Excalibur one, very nice, vivo, svideo, ram heatsinks on both sides of the card, blue LED, heatsink/fan, 500Mhz core clock speed, it's a very nice card, I have it and have zero complaints
it costs quite a bit more then the 9200 though...

Thanks all for the help :D i can get a ATI 9600 PRO RADEON 256MB AGP for £95 so with what everyone has said i think thats the best option....just got to save up lol.....thanks again :D

lol i hate to say it, but don't get that
256 is not the way to go, with a 256mb card you are paying for more then you need, as no current games, and no games for at least 2 years will come close to using 256 mb, and with 256 you get lower quality ram, get a 9600pro 128 and you'd be better off!

I've an fx5200 atm, and i was looking to upgrade it to a 9600pro, would you think that's a great choice ? i'm not really an avid gamer, but would like a better card.
