If you can, try to see how big the lense hole is. this is very important if you want quality. What size images do you want? I have a Sony DSC-P72 which can do about 3.1 megapixels. this is more than enough for what I need.

My sister has the Sony DSC-P72 and it takes GREAT pictures, and it even take pretty good quality videos. ;)

A couple of weeks ago I bought the Sony DSC-P92. Of course thats out of your budget.

the DSC-P72 one is out of my budget and i just realized that the other sony one which i linked too is also out of my budget since its US prices :(

3mega pixels sounds good enough, i cant afford anything higher. can anybody recomend any olympus cameras? a friends sister has one but im not sure which model it is, she saidd it was about $220CAD which sounds good. and i tried it the pics look GREAT

What country do you live in?

the only reason you would need a 3.1+ megapixel is if you are going to print 8x10 prints of the photos. if you are going to stick with the usual 4x6 or 5x7, you can stick with a 2 megapixel and save yourself some money.

p.s. also go with an optical zoom as opposed to a digitaal zoom, else you will get a pixalated photo of when you zoom.

There both great choices. I have a Kodak myself. I like the easy share software.
But trust me the double a batteries bite big time. The sony comes with NIMH AA batteries and charger. Bump up the memory later tho. 16mb = 24 pictures? 128mb= 98 pictures's? high res . video 30sec. compare to 2 min's

Heres a link with Canadian funny money. :)
