I loved FlashGet until The Cleaner founded a trojan on FlashGet, now i'm using NetTransport too.

This talk of Flashget and trojans has me a little confused.
I understand that 1.50 has a trojan, but did 1.40 as well?
and does the 1.60 beta have it too?
I use Firefox and Flashget and I've never had a problem.
Exactly what does that trojan do anyway?
Edit: Just found the Opera/Mozilla Plugin for NetTransport. swEEEt B)

same here... Flashget=Spyware.. so i threw it out and hope it broke it's ass on the way down those painful stairs.
Anyways, I'm looking for a good mozilla supported download manager that can give me alot more info on downloads.

Download the Opera plugin for NetTransport. Then unzip it & Put those files in the FireFox plugin folder thru explorer tree. It works!

I'm talking about 1.40 , the file is Jccatch.dll (http://cnhope.net/FlashGet/).

Interesting. I used 1.40 for about a year.
Updated to 1.50 just last week.
Downloaded The Cleaner with latest updates today and did a full scan.
Nothing nasty turned up.
Oh well... I've changed over to NetTransport now it supports Mozilla browsers.
I'm another who prefers freeware over cracks or adware. :D
