I know this is a noob question but give me a break okay it's been a little while since I messed w/burning vids. NEway I was wondering what resolution I should have them at? Should I go ahead and re-encode to get the 320x 240 or will 352x 240 work okay? For that matter what about 352x 288? Thx ne and all help guys ;)

I'm going to be burning these files to vcd and I wanted to know what res. would be the best. Some of the files are in 352x 240 and some are in 352x288. But I want to be able to see the whole picture that's why I wanted to know if I should re-encode them to 320 x 240 or if it would be okay to leave them in the larger res.

the vcd compliant standard for pal is 352 x 288 at 25fps
where the standard for ntsc is 352 x 240 at 29.97 fps
in both cases you will get about 70 minutes of video per 650 meg eg per cd

PAL is the standard used in europe, NTSC is used in the US. But most dvd players can usually play both standards.
