ok i started making dvds and svcds , kdvd , ksvcd , but i really dont have that many programs , i need the best you know , so heres what i need
join audio to a video file (without sync problems)
convert audio to ac3
something to make dvd menus
convert avi to dvd (besides tmpgenc)

You could use the popular (for general users) tools like those made by adobe, ulead and sonic.
Most of us prefer tmpgenc for conversions because its more versatile, although i use about a dozen different tools for different purposes including roxio videopack, dvd-labs, virtualdub, neodvd plus and spruce-up.
They all have their strengths and weaknesses.
