I am trying to find the name of this movie it is a british film its about a kid and his mother takes drugs or something like that the actors name is frank or frankie he is about 6-9 years ago (when it was made)

I am also looking for a film that's a cross between "The Matrix and "Equilibrium". It begins with an "A and I think it's by miramax but I can't remember the name of it.
