Today in the GTAGaming News Submission inbox we found an anonymous email with a private ftp link for the "San Andreas Trailer 1". Thinking it was some April Fool's prank I had deleted the email, but then later today I decided to download it because Kodo told me to, and it was legitimate! The writer stated that the movie was originally planned for display at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles in May, but we can EXCLUSIVELY make this video available NOW. Huge thanks to the person that got their hands on it and sent it in!

This is quite unfortunate, but we have been asked by Rockstar take down the SA trailer. It appears whoever obtained the video has done so illegally and it is breaking contract to be on the web at this time. We are great fans of Rockstar and we will follow their request.

Graphics look better to me. The lighting seems a lot better and the cars seem to look sharper. You have to keep in mind the limited power of PS2 and the fact that GTA renders a huge world with tons of NPCs and cars and AI. It's amazing the sheer number of cars and people and cops and everything it keeps track of.

Yeah graphics don't matter really anymore. Just have more guns, bigger and more scenery, more cars, and anything else they can pack into the game.

Its a rare case of gameplay winning over visuals !! One gem of a game series !! i hope they keep continuing on till they have probably converted every damn city of the world into a GTa equivalent !!

yeah but double pack came outlike 2 years after vice came out for PS2 and San Andreas is coming out in October 2004 (late this year) so ps3 proablly gonna come out like a year after

but gta registerd 5 and sa..
so i think they think that vc is 4..and ya ur rite 4 will be major while sa will be vc with a new city new bikes dark enviro (most probabl) and helis and obviosly more cars and a new storyline..but the graphics would be the same as 3 , vc

GTA 4 will be called GTA 4.
GTA Vice City and GTA San Adreas are just side stories, as was GTA-London 1969.
When the 4th GTA comes out, IT WILL be called GTA 4.

Yup, the whole trailer thing was an elaborate joke. If you were one of the fellows that was pranked by it don't be angry, just laugh about it. By now a lot of people have figured it out, but some still have a small doubt in their mind, so here is the confirmation that you need. We want to put this to rest because we (and Rockstar) don't want another incident like Sin City. Here's an email from Rockstar about it (this one is real, I promise! :P)

why do people want 2 swim so bad? that would ruin the game entirely, without the ability 2 drown i would hardly ever die. i love driving around w/ 4or 5 stars and the only time i die is if the cops crash my car into the water. plus if u could swim, then that would defeat the "progression" of the game.
look at liberty and vice city, they had the bridges blocking off the second or third parts of the map and swimming would allow u 2 skip ahead, im sure rockstart will continue that form of progression and swimming will prevent that,
swimming would b pointless, and practically ruin the game.
