Orangecd Catalog And Dvd-r Scanning
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)Posted by: FuNkY CaPrIcOrN
There is a Report that Orange is not Scanning DVD-Rs that have MP3 Folders/Data on them.
It works fine with CD-Rs.But I have no DVD burner and only store my Music on CD-Rs to scan with Orange.
So need somebody with a DVD burner who uses Orange to test this out.
Please Post here with results.Thank you. :)

"Orange is not Scanning DVD-Rs that have MP3 Folders/Data on them."
FC
Did you use "Scan MP3 folder" feature? This is the correct way, as opposed to "Scan CD-ROM". If so, what happens then - does it display any error message?

Just tryed it yes it works when you scan "Media files" then select the folders manually

[Summerlinda] So it does scan DVD's? Orange that is?
[Summerlinda] What DVDs you have +R or -R?
(11:51) [Ad.] -rs
[Summerlinda] So do I
[Summerlinda] But you said you have to add them folder by folder , manually?
[Summerlinda] So you cant scan a dvd at once?
[Summerlinda] With 1 click
(11:53) [Ad.] yeah depending on how you burnt them
[Summerlinda] As data
(11:54) [Ad.] becasue if you say had a folder called music adn has 100 sub folders in ther eyes 1 click woudl do it
[Summerlinda] Unfortunaly I have all seperate folders on my dvd's not in a rootfolder....
(11:55) [Ad.] yeah thats what I had too but Im sure it woudl work the way I said
[Summerlinda] Okay thanks for trying
(11:56) [Ad.] acutul; I am wrong lol
(11:56) [Ad.] jsut haev to highlight the drive
[Summerlinda] Thats all?
[Summerlinda] Good, cos i didnt plan on clicking all folders 1 by 1
(11:57) [Ad.] yep highlight click sacn it scans it
[Summerlinda] Great
So it does scan DVDs :01:
