hi guys, After defragging my windows hd with diskeeper, I have noticed that my windows takes a lot longet than usual to boot up. I ran a virus checks, no viruses, ad-aware check- no spyware/adware Why does my comp freeze sometimes @boot up and is slow when I boot?
btw, it is windows me
so what could be causing the slowdown?

Well first it's Windows ME. No but seriously it's Windows ME, M$ worst OS ever.
Second is that version of DisKeeper Compatable with ME?
Third get ahold of PerfectDisk or O&O Defrag imho either of which are better. GL.

Go to your TaskManager and see what is loading with Windows.
Do yourself a favor and upgrade your OS.
Seriously.
I just weened my sister off ME and onto XP Pro and she is delighted.

Plain and simple, like everyone said, it is going to be ME, get off of it and go to 98SE or XP Pro if the computer can handle it.
