How Do I Preview Files?

Does anyone know of a way in which I can preview incomplete files in Overnet Lite?
I tried previewing a film in AVI Preview, but it wouldn't work because in Overnet all the incomplete files are downloaded as .part files rather than .dat files.
Also, how can you preview mp3 files? Real Player would not recognise .part files either.

Get VideoLan 0.7.1 here http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html, this program can read the part files
note:
it doesn't work always because of the way overnet download the files

VideoLan has always worked fine for me also...
