Unreal Tournament -Are the servers gone?
Am I missing something? Anyone Know?

Every day I play 2 games of Unreal Tournament. Suddenly almost all servers on the "list" are gone, built in the software internet search engine. There is about a dozen left.

Does anyone know what's up with that?

I have the same problem...
A friend of mine played it the day before yesterday and I worked normal, but when we tried it yesterday (on different pc's) we both found only 2 deathmatch servers... it's very weird and annoying :mellow:

Huh?

I guess the "main" server that all UT software links to is gone.

Is it because they are pushing UT 2004 "Pay for your own server" thing?

I have tried all versions of UT and I still think that the original UT is the best and most fun. My PC can handle all of the games and 3D. That 'new' extreme fancy 3D graphics starts to get 'in the way" during game play.

Here's one fix:

Find the following section in your unrealtournament.ini
[UBrowserAll]

Replace the following...
bHidden=True
bFallbackFactories=True

with...
bHidden=False
bFallbackFactories=False
ServerListTitle=
URLAppend=
AutoRefreshTime=0
bNoAutoSort=False

And you should get 2000+ servers.

I think its enough to change bHidden and bFallbackFactories to false.

here's another fix

http://eavy.beyondunreal.com/dl.php/eavy/e...verbrowser.umod (http://eavy.beyondunreal.com/dl.php/eavy/eavyserverbrowser.umod)

After you download it, just double click it to install. It installs itself to your UT directory. Then, just search for internet games as normal. It finds the servers about four times faster than the UT server browser, apart from that, you wont even know its there.
