I have cable with a router and when i'm trying to download something off mirc the speed drops too low and the download stops. are there any ports i need to open or any configeration i should be doing to mirc?

that happens to me also
I think that happens when the Bot is going offline bcuz rite now i wuz d/ling a movie and my speed went down to 2 kb/s and it stop'd and when i tied to resume it the bot wont respond

most of the times its a problem at the bots end. u prob need to forwar ports 6667 as those are teh ones irc uses to connect but i doubt it. i notice that when i dl it usse ports 4000 something buti think it changes everytime

with the invision script, it tells you "xdccbot sending you illegalpiratedfile.avi on port XXXX"
so if you be quick, you can go forward taht port or whatever
