I had this thought, and if this was already mentioned and refuted, dont hurt me, I just thought it might be a good idea.
If everyone here who uses slsk posts on this, then we can all add each other, and we can all be happy... yes?
Just a thought....
Feedback is always good. So what do y'all think?

I'm not sharing with n00bs, people I don't know, or those with next to no files
Posted by: Dubhguy
Doesn't that defeat the purpose of filesharing?

If the noob has at least 5 to 10 albums that are organized at 192 or higher and is from this board I will add them for sure
if I am downloading a album off someone off soul seek, that I do not know and or he/she has is that album is i unorganized I will still add them. and they will stay added
Yes it dos sound hypocritical but thats pretty much how I do things

;) RIP some Albums and you will be added. Its that easy. And don't tell us you have no CDs.Some of us are sick of hearing that shit.

I've about 900 songs in my folder, all from full and complete albums, some with album art, but not most.
I don't consider that being a newb. I'm still in the process of ripping all of my collection, but as you probably know, it takes time, which at the moment, I don't have an abundance of. But I'm sure that once I'm done, if I dont add any more CDs to my collection I will have near 3000 songs from a avariety of genres.
I think 900 is a good mid level number, dont you? The Guide youguys put up for using it says 100 songs is minimum.
I do rip, and will continue ripping as fast as possible

You have the 900 tracks ripped in mp3 format (or something similar, no *.ram, *.wma), and in proper folders (i.e. not all in one large folder)?

Yes.
I do have my 900 files organized. Some of them are in .m4a format, but I will be converting them shortly.
I also have a buttload of stuff in .ra format, but need to find a way to convert them.
They are categorized by Artist, then album. If I find the time, I will put em into genre specific sections also.

You are going to convert them from an inferior format to mp3 or something of the like...?
If that's the case, I'm never adding you

Currently finding those CDs I ripped into .m4a's ( I borrowed a few from friends) and re-ripping them, as high quality mp3's.
Granted, thats a good 36 CDs. So it'll be a while, but I'll do at least 6 a day and should be back up to speed in a week or so, hten I will, as I said before be steradily increasing my number of CDs and songs. I've got 19 more ion my desk that are itching to be added, and I can rustle up a whole lot more.
Those .ra files can only be found (at least to my knowledge) in that form, therefore, I'll leave as is, and not include them in my count.

I'm 99% sure they can be found in a proper format...what's the name of the album?
Posted by: Dubhguy
They're a variety of versions of Jesus Christ Superstar (Andrew Lloyd Webber's Rock opera about Jesus told through the eyes of Judas) I got them from a friend who got each one from a different friend. So while some of them may, a great deal of them can't. Its OK though. Most of you wouldn't be interseted in them anyway. Very few people are actually.
32 Cds to re-rip...

Hmm...I don't add people to my list unless I know who they are, or someone that I know well says they are cool. For all I know, it could be an FBI Agent going incognito. Screw that shit.
