What Is A Better Rig ?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Ok I got the money to do 1 or 2

Rig 1

Amd 64 bit 3400+

ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128mb Video Card

Or Rig 2

AMD Athlon 64 3200+

ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256mb Video Card

Which is better a faster cpu and slower video card or a slower cpu and faster video card ??? :frusty:
I think a video card would be easier to upgrade. But its not that much slower of a cpu ???

I'd go with rig 1 because of the faster processor and the video card is very easily upgradable.

Wait, save more money and buy Amd 64 bit 3400+ & ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256mb Video Card.

If you are a gamer take Rig2 and if your not so addicted to games take Rig 1

either save up a bit to get the 3400+ and 9800xt, or you will have to decide betweek the two.

here is ur decision:
do you like to play a lot of games? or do u only do work\surf web on ur computer?

if u said games: rig 2

if u said work\surf web: rig 1.

its pretty obvious, but still you may not have thought of that

Save up for enough for a 9800XT and a 3400. By then the 9800XTs price should have dropped drasticly, due to the new cards.

theres really nothing wronge with the 9800 pro its a very good card, it will run all your games good, but the 9800 xt will run them better ;)

get the cpu from rig 2 and vid card fron rig 1

there ya go :)

Give it a couple weeks I'd say
and I'm guessing the 9800xt will go down to the price of a 9800pro, 9800pro the to a 9600xt, etc
Just a guess though, couldn't tell you for sure....
