kernel_data_inpage_error

then there was a bunch of stuff siying if this is your fist time seeing this error then try again or whatever then at the bottom it said mountmgr.sys

what does this mean?

did u try installing again?

At what time during the install did you get this message?

I'm thinking it might be a problem to do with formatting you're hard drive. If you are doing it with fat32 then try ntfs, if you're doing ntfs then try fat32...

I cant remember what the exact error was, but on my k6-2 333mhz computer i get a blue screen if i use ntfs. ;) Not sure why but who cares, i just install fat32 then convert it later.

I don't think that Fat32 is going to make any difference.... (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/Default.asp?url=/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/prmd_stp_fvlq.asp)

their just sending him a new 120gb Hard drive, which is still a good deal, seeing as he's modified his hpa320n a whole lot, including adding a new NF7-S mobo and a new 80gb HD lol
so them replacing the 120gb free of charge with no shipping cost or anything doesn't sound bad to me ;)

the ram is the only think that is from the hp, other then dvd rom and some cables... i got my ram working witht he mobo so i don't need new ram really but if he wants it i will rip him off with your help and get ram.

and i knew it was the harddrive because i when ever i started up my computer (even a month ago) before maybe after the POST a screen would come up saying all this shit and at the bottom saying "S.M.A.R.T drive error, back up and replace" but i would just hit F2 and continue. and it worked alight just slow.. then when i read that to the HP guy he didn't hesitate before he said they would send me a new one free of charge!!

:D :P
