Everybody complains about "Fake Files"...
Jot down the "Username" from whom you got the fake files from, and don't download from them no more. Probably the feckin' RIAA.
Need to set up a thread to list "Users" from whom we get "Fake Files" from. Post them for everyone to see.
Any opinions on this?

More then half of the users use the defaultname so you can't tell who's who.

yeah, they arent unique, so hundreds of people can have the same username. As in KazaaLiteK++ (as talked in that one other thread :lol: )

lol...the best way to avoid fakes (im assuming you use Kazaa, though this is in "General Filesharing talk") is to not use K-Lite. Try a different network, such as Newsgroups or BT, or even emule, which tend to be better.
Making notes of user names is not effective at all - look at how easy it is to change your name in K-Lite - now think how easy it is for people to do this

Of the 2 years that i've been using k-lite I only dl'ed 1 maybe 2 fake files (movies).
After that I was smart enough to preview or use verifieds for that.
never had any screechy songs because i get my music somewhere else.
Also, recent movies I get from Mirc.
So you'll never hear me bitch about getting fake files,only bitch about that they're on there ;)
