i'm using soulseek -about half the time when i attempt to open it -it says could not connect ,please try again later server may be down,i then check the server status & it says it is up . i am using a satellite connection powered by Directway i was told at the time of install ,that the modem that came with it would act as its own firewall.could this be causing the problems with initial connecting,i have been successful in downloading although it frequently says download failed although on the second attempt it is successful.
thanks any suggestions Will be appreciated.

have you tried to connect again right after it tells you this? sometimes when i first open it, it will say the same thing, but then i just click connect and it will start right up.

it did that in the past & i did as you suggested & it did start but i won't start at all now.
