Sdram And Ddr Ram

I have 4 RAM slots, 2 for SDRAM, 2 for DDR RAM. I have 256 in 1 SD slot, and 128 in the other SD slot. Now my question is, can I keep my 384 SDRAM, and add some DDR ram also?
I heard you can't mix SDRAM and DDR RAM. But then that means I have to throw 384 SDRAM away just like that? Can I mix em? And if I can, would my total be SD or DDR???

simple answer is no...they cant work simultaneously cant have both in at same time

Damn, that sucks :( . So after I switch to DDR, what am I supposed to do with 384 SDRAM? <_<

Or u cud part exchange it for ddr??
Sell it to ur friend. I dunno Just sell it lol

I'll take it off your hands. :D If it's PC100 low-density, then leave me a note and we will talk.

if u stop and think about this it would be pretty pointless, mixing would only result in all the memory running at the speed of the slowest, so u might as well bin the 128 and stick a 512 in much cheaper than the DDR, though in the long run you're going to have to upgrade
while we're discussing uses for old mem any bids on a pile of 4 meg 30 pin mem lol

hahahaha yeah they do QuietSilence......
anyways i put 512 DDR in mine a few months back, and i still have an extra 256 SDRAM PC133 stick sittin around.....
but like they said, sell it or somethin....get money to buy somethin else.....
(all my friends are rich computer ppl, since i liev in a rich town..., so they have all the high end systems, even though i consider mine a fairly high end system....old RAM doen't do them that much good......)
SELL IT

Industry Standard, Non-ECC, Non-parity...
Posted by: Rip The Jacker
1 - PC100 128MB (SDRAM, Not 100% sure about the other info)
1 - PC100 256MB (SDRAM, PC100 • CL=2 • Unbuffered • Non-parity • 8ns • 3.3V • 32Meg x 64)
I think the 256MB is what your looking for! :D My 128MB stick is much older, I'm pretty sure its Non-parity but not 100% sure.

Good enough for me. How much?

I bought the 256MB SDRAM from Crucial.com for $60.99. Sure its used, but its as good as new. How much would you give for it? Be reasonable now... :P
