I heard about the Philips DVP642 DVD Player in the other thread and was thinking about buying it. And I also thought of geeting a new tv cause mine is 5+ years old.
Do you guys know of a reasonably priced TV that I can connect my Philips DVP642 DVD Player,surround sound system,computer,and Xbox to?
If you can find a good one post a link please.

Nah your it the right place. Only 5 years old ? Gee I'v got three sony's two are over 10 years old. I'd look at HDTV's you'll want it for for the next 5 years right. :)

Well that is an estimate. I've had meh tv since I was a little kid. 5+ means at LEAST 5 years. I don't think I can afford HDTV. Unless you know where A cheap one is at.

we have a 32" panasonic tv and it's great except that i hate teh sound it came with...kinda has an echoe so whenever i watch something u use the stereo for sound. ;)
flat widescreen bigger than 48" is nice, B)

at the MOST $500 U.S. but id prefer cheaper. (Keep in mind I only get paid $6.50/hour. <_< ) The T.V. will be in my room so it will be in relatively close view.I don't care what brand it is. It should be able to get my stuff connected to it like 1st postred.

yea 27-32 is plenty, if you can find a jvc I prefer them, but sharp has been #1 in reliability for several years in consumer reports
sharp is the best all around tv for the money should be able to get a 27 for ~220 and a 32 for ~400

no i don't know exactly what one take a look around on some websites and see. then post and maybe someone can tell u if it's good or not.
oh and in general pretty much all tv's have atleast 2 input's on them (bigger\more expensive will have 3 or 4). and they are usually one just rca and 1 will be svideo and rca. if three or four it will include component\rgb.
edit: i agree with muchspl2 that JVC is very good. I was gonna get a jvc instead of teh panasonic but they had none in stock. ;)

they don't do that anymore, now they have to floor plan with the manufacture
they used too, but they sign contracts with them to display certain tvs, in fact if they sell out, unless the tv is discontinued they can't sell you the floor model

wasn't a floor model.
it is a SEARS BRAND tv.
you'd have no idea it was a jvc unless u saw the same JVC tv (i did that is how i know).

you really shouldn't buy extended warranty's, but like I said 10 bucks is worth it
most tvs have 6/12 6 months labor 12 months warranty
