Printer refill problem

I have a HP Deskjet 3325 and last night I refilled my colour cartridge for the first time (I often do the black and have no problems), with the colour one on my first print only red was working and this morning i've tried again now red and blue are working but still no yellow?

Anybody have any ideas?

try cleaning the bottom of the cartridge or just wait it might unclog itself.

Now its only printing red again aaarrrggghhh.

If I wait for it to unclog will that be over a certain amout of time or after a certain amount of prints?

I have tried putting it in a plastic bag and spinning it around and it was very messy and didnt help

lol rub the bottom where the ink comes out with a q-tip or cloth then try it again.

Also your printer should have some sorta cleaning option in the driver, my hp does. Try that. usually by the second or third line it should start printing normal.

Are you sure you used HP compatible ink?

Other inks use different pigment droplet sizes, if you use the wrong ink it can and usually will clog the print head.

You can download the printer tools from hp which will clean your printer heads but it does use quite a lot of ink in doing it, taking it out and cleaning with a cotton bud I've done before and can work for a while but imo refilling cartridges and buying reconditioned is loaded with problems, I never had any luck with it and realised that paying the extra £5/6 for a hp one was worth it.

Tried tonight again after work and its alot better red/blue seem to be ok yellow is still a bit dodgy but i'll see how it go's in the morning.

The Mrs has managed to order a new cartridge for £13 anyway so it might not be worth the bother of refilling.

Anybody want to buy a ink cartridge refill kit with inks? Godd condition only used once?
