Posted by: scribblec

ive tried loads and it hasnt worked

maybe this games unpatchable?

Did u try the ps2 region changer on suprnova? U might want to give that a try if u haven't... And I'll search into it a little and see what I can find.

Posted by: freak

Alright 2 question so I can look into it further... What type of image are u trying to patch? iso, bin or is it something else? Also whats the file size...

Wait, you are trying to play this game on a black and white tv?

Wait, you are trying to play this game on a black and white tv?

Now why would he be asking if he was using a B&W TV?

Try these 2 if u haven't. also try the one on suprnova... If none work I'll see about getting one made for MGS 3 but thats a lil more effort then id like to put into it but I may look into that if none work *shurgs*

Edit: If neather of those work I have another Idea that should work for all games and it's a one time thing... do u use a modchip or swap?

Posted by: scribblec

ok ill try those

the file is a bit over 4 gigs and its an iso file

oh yea i use swap magic cds....

i tried the cd where it changes it to pal then try putting in the dvd disc but that method just dont want to work for me

NVM i just tried that same method with the cds and it worked :o

but anyway to patch it so i dont have to swop 2 cds?

Posted by: freak

Well if those patchs don't work I'm out of ideas cept for making one for mgs3 and mgs3 only... But u did say cdloader worked. Also did u try all the patchers i posted?

Posted by: scribblec

the patchers didnt work i dont think there are any patch locations because i downloaded the game because its not out in the uk

but yea putting in the cd of swap magic then the dvd one works in colour and the game is so much better :D

thanks anyway :01:

Posted by: freak

Well sorry I coldn't help more... Maybe u should look into getting a Modchip theres a new chip comeing out very soon called the DMS4 E.Z.I and it requires no soldering at all...

Posted by: scribblec

this is the second ps2 and i dont want to open it because the first time i opened the other one it killed my ps2.... (was a v4 with laser probs) the ribbon cable came off the laser voltage thingy was inpossible to reach and the control ribbon cable broke so i thought fuck it and bought a next one and the swap magic is fine for noobs like me

Posted by: freak

Do u still have ur old ps2? it's still fixable u can solder the ribbion cable back together...
