Help needed to unlock zipped album file
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)Posted by: ian2000
Can anyone help me with suggesting a programme, to unlock a zipped album I have downloaded (The Brand New Heavies - All about the funk)?
If I click on the tracks to listen to them, I am asked for a password.
I have downloaded this type before and normally the password is amongst the zipped files, but not this time!
Is there a way to unlock the password?
Thanks

the password may be the site that you downloaded the file from.
always worth a try.

I downloaded it from edonkey.
I just put Brand New Heavies into search and downloaded a zip file of the album.
Thats all, the file was downloaded OK, but when I tried to listen to the album the password request was made.
Why are passwords put on these files anyway?

You can either use this password breaker (and getting a crack before oyu attempt) which may or may not get you your password or you can just redownload the album.

Password should be www.goldesel.6x.to
Every locked Album file that I've come accross on Emule has been this.
I suppose its to imprint that particular website in your mind

Eesh, to be honest, mate. I'd be glad of the password protection.
Seriously tho' - The suggestion in the above post has worked for me several times in the past. It seems particular to Emule.
