Counter Strike Source problem, wont start up.

No warning messages, no pop ups, no nothing. I feel like an idiot, I have no idea what it does but I pressed F8 (or was it F10, dont remember) during a match and poof, it crashed CS and went back to desktop. Okay, no prob, i'll just start it back up. Nope, wont let me start back up again :blink: , it justs says preparing to play Counter Strike: Source (in that Steam box thing) but nothing happens, the box goes away and nothing happens. Task Manager shows that HL2.exe is not listed and CPU usage is at 1% :no: help an idiot out guys, please!
P.S. for the slow minded, I bought the game from the store, so yes, i have a valid key.

okay, according to steam/cs:s forums the new update doesn't let you play CS anymore (dont ask, probably a bug i don't even know wtf is going on). so i'm fucked along with everyone who plays CS source :(

lol, it's funny. the game doesn't play for 15 mins and ppl freak out. lol. it's a patch and as u all know using steam will autopatch. now, having said that EVERYBODY has to install patch. so, if a server is running at said time it's not gonna patch. it needs to reboot to get patch. now, u just updated and no one or very few ppl have. so obviously ur not gonna get a game. give it time. lol.
ps. my css works fine.

All servers have updated so we will not be able to play until Emporio's crew release another great patch for us.

i think you have to run half-life. i tried the sdk before to see if the tools work now. it said something along the lines of you have to run half life 2 to patch it and be able to use the tools. :unsure:

I reinstalled steam and that fixed it the new patch iis in the installer and it takes about 10 seconds if you just install it without uninstalling it first now all my games work and other people are on so they have done the same:cool2:

holy shit! this kicks ass. me and some dude barracaded our selves in a control room thing (like the one you guard with sentry guns in single player) and held it for about ten minutes until the enemy realised grenades work :01:
if you haven't baught it yet, you have too. you can use the gravity gun online ;)
