I was just curious... What is a good provider for blogging (Examples: LiveJournal, Xanga, etc.)
I am just wanting to test out a few and wanted to get your opinions on what a good provider is, thanks

Blogging is fun :D
I just started a blog myself a couple of days ago :01:
Blogger is a good place to start, but as far as I know you can't do anything with the template(s) you get there.
Modblog (http://www.modblog.com/) on the other hand
You can really let yourself go on that one.
And it has a nice, friendly, active community as well.
Really worth checking out.

i like using xanga.
it's very easy and organized. plus, a lot of people have them that i know so it's easy to maintain subscriptions to other peoples' and post comments

the idea is for if you want to post a journal of your daily events or thoughts, etc. for the public (usually your friends/family) to read.
Like a newsletter of your life.

Blogging allows you to express thoughts, feelings, actions etc to the world. Kinda like a journal. It means a bit to the writer but it means more to the readers as it allows an insight as to how the blogger ticks :)
That's at least how it started - Nowadays you can find countless uses for it, including Whistleblowing on companies with dodgy work policies (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ea_spouse) ;)
Anyway, the flavour of the month seems to LiveJournal (http://www.livejournal.com). Pretty much does everything needed :)
