I just got a brand new mobo and cpu. I hooked it up and it wont turn on.

I cleared the CMOS, tried every combonition for the plugs that go in the front of the case and nothing works. I tried it in an old case I have and it also would not boot. The power supply is fine, I was just using my other mobo and cpu right before I upgraded :(

Got any ideas?

Do you have the secondary 4-Pin ATX Power connector plugged into the motherboard?
Do you have a fan connected to the CPU fan connector?
A momentary connection to pins #6 and 8 of the SW1 should power up the board.

Yes (if you mean the PJ1 cable)
Yes
Connect them how?

EDIT: I think im gonna go postal :gunsmilie

Posted by: Virtualbody1234

Yes the PJ1.
Ok
Carefully connect them together momentarily (pins 6 and 8) with a small screwdriver or anything that will complete the circuit. (remember, it's only momentary).
