i think it will be ok to watch once. like the last rocky, but it wont be anywhere close to as good as the originals. it should be more believeable since most archilologist are old in people in the desert brushing away sand anyways.

The movie studios do everything to make money. :angry:

Nice, good to see this movie's finally coming out. I was afraid it would never get made. Despite his age, Harrison Ford's gonna be great in this one. I hope the storyline's solid, and the rest will probably turn out right. Go Indy! :D

i agree to a degree... i have never come across something that is better than the one before....remakes are ok if the movie was made like 30 years ago. but most production companies think that because that their original movie was so popular and made so much money that hell why not make some sequel that everyone will watch just to see how they will turn out...its how they make money. just take a look at pirates of the shitabeenen. :frusty:

It's called show business not show art.
A movie studio's primary function is to make money for themselves and their shareholders.Making an enjoyable movie is just one device that they employ to do that.
It's no different than television where the programs are there to sell the commercials,not the ads being there to pay for the shows.
Unforunately this also tends to lead to too many "safe" choices like endless sequels or remakes as they are seen as money in the bank.
That being said not all sequels are bad Godfather 2,Aliens 2,Superman 2 to name a few being widely regarded as superior to the originals.
So I have no doubt Indiana Jones will be a decent enough movie,whether it will be a great one we'll have to wait until May 22 to find that out.

completely horrible film. i shoulda waited longer to watch this i guess. didn't like anything this movie had to offer. i'm not even sure if i want to rate this film. now, we only have that kid shia to look forward to? WoW, i hope not. ALL performances were awful and quite boring. i guess i'm so angry cuz i wanted more. much, much more. this film would had did so much better 50 years ago and in black & white. it's a shame really that the indiana jones franchise has cum to this. 1 point for trying & 1 point for mr. ford. 2/10 (hangs head in shame)
