Audio program wanted

I think im looking for 2 different programs. I need one program that will seperate audio from video so i can use it for something. And i need another program that i can use to edit sounds, a good one, something i can use to combine a few things to make a music thingy outta.

I'd go with Sony Soundforge
It's main area of purpose is modifying the sound waves of files, so you can isolate the split the video to get just the other and then cut & merge the waves of various music files to get what you need.

Thanks, but for some reason when i try to load up a file it freezes. It seems to be doing nothing when it dosnt freeze too.
Any help or other suggestions?

Nero vision express with burning rom 6 could take the video into the timeline and remove the video just leaving the audio which can be saved as a wav file then edited int the nero wave editor :unsure:
