Avast i think is one of the best out there

Posted by: anschluzer

From my experience NOD32 is one of the best if not the best. Doesn't take much resources and you don't need to scan every week because it stops many viruses from getting in. With the help of Ad-Watch, you won't need to format because of spyware/viruses for a long time.

Posted by: Army

Posted by: albcoe

kIS is the best one, but i like nod also.

Posted by: Bobby99

was using mcafee, then switched to avg free when mcafee came out with the 2007 edition. the 2007 edition is a terrible excuse for an anti-virus program...the user has no control over anything...i definitely would not recommend it.

Posted by: L3ST

Avg free edition all the way. Haven't had any sign of viruses for quite a while. Should I be worried ? :D

Posted by: SnipeR19

Kapersky

Posted by: Just Do It

I've tried a lot of different antivirus programs but I have never looked back since switching to NOD32.

You should all try it if you haven't already! It is small, efficient and light on CPU resources. It's a cheep way of increasing your computer's performance.

Posted by: Saroman

NOD 32 ofcourse

Posted by: MurrayS

I use AVG (http://www.grisoft.com)(free edition) and free online scanning sites like Infected Or Not (http://www.infectedornot.com), Bit Defender (http://www.bitdefender.com), etc. once a month :D

Posted by: y7deluxe

I'm running Kaspersky. Used to be on Norton and the only thing it protected me against was moo.dll (an irc file that I wanted..). I'm starting to think I don't need an anti-virus program... but I have a lot of ish I don't want to destroy :(

Posted by: valhallabjj

I used to use Norton but it slowed my system down too much, I now use AVG free edition and the Spyware as well, it works fine :).

Posted by: Me<3You

Avast

Posted by: Kojiro

NOD32 for over 3 years :D

Posted by: Eytan

Now I am on a platform which makes virus virutally obeselete for one reason beacuse of the secure base structure and advance permission file structure. Now thats just normal now I took it step far now I have issolated each threads and it can't actually access outside it. This is known as a Nd1 containers.

Posted by: natalie

NOD32 is the best

Posted by: KevinGarnet

i am surprised that there isn't bitdefender antivirus.. nowadays a lot of people use bitdefender and are happy.. it's really great antivirus.. it doesn't require a lot of resources of pc and have really big virus base.. so i use it.. but i think who know pc very well can't use antivirus.. only need is fw (firewall).. but then you will need very good fw like zone alarm or outpust.. it's my opinion..

Posted by: itS0v3r

i dont use :P

Posted by: Giallorosso

kaspersky

Posted by: SaveFerris

AVG Anti-Virus.

Posted by: hema999

nod 32

i am using AVG never used kaspersky 6 so couldnt say its better than that but i think its better than mcafee and symnatec :D

Posted by: tevez

Nod 32.

Posted by: zd0d

I'm using Norton security and antivirus (the whole suite) 2007. I was using 2005 until a few days ago. Does the job for me.

Posted by: pazsh

I use Kaspersky..
It take low memory from system and blocks most of the viruses i believe..
I heard about NOD32 But never tried it..
I tried zonealarm which after installation reboot my computer with no reason...
So it's kinda buggy one.....

Posted by: tupac

I use Kaspersky. It's the best antivirus. My previous antivirus was Norton, but it slowed down my crappy PC. Kaspersky runs smoother and I had no problems with viruses.

Posted by: Gordion

NOD32. Works like a charm :)

Posted by: geove

Nod32 i think is the best

Posted by: xbawksz

AVG free :P

Posted by: DV8type

NOD32. The power and small foot print is great....although i also run Kapersky on another computer.

Posted by: sear

NOD32. The power and small foot print is great....although i also run Kapersky on another computer.

Agreed NOD32 is the best when you weigh up all the competing factors.

Posted by: fst3clipse

How come theres no Bitdefender selection in the poll? Been using
BD for some time now. Updates on the hour and no false positives.
Various awards, small resource footprint, etc.
Kasperky is my second choice. Avast for freeware.

Posted by: blEnder

Use Nod32. It works great.

I had been using TrendMicro for years and years and was fine with it, but the 2007 version was way too bloated and too much a resource hog to warrant its continued use, so I switch to Nod32 after reading some great reviews on it (and used their 30-day free trail).

Posted by: Tagentx

I was pretty sure my mcafee wasnt going to be tops in this.

Posted by: T3RR0R

NOD32 is the best i have ever used.

Posted by: PoOki

NOD32 = The best :)

Posted by: Necrophag

NOD32, been using it for 4 years and never looked back to software packages like Norton which eats your memory up and doesn't do the job.

i was using nod 32..after a few days i realised it was taking up a lot of ram space.. i unistalled it...right now my computer is anti virus free.. i have 512kb ram..nod used to take 13-20kb couldnt even play fifa 08 properly

Posted by: Tenebrous

NOD32 is the best detector and the small resource-eater. Panda is good too but takes all processor and RAM memory when is working.
