well all the 19" LCDs I have seen are 1280 x 1024
to get 1600 x 1200 or better I'd have to go 20" or better,
for a lot more money
and this one has by far the best seek time @ 8ms,
most others are 12 or 25 ms
(not that I'll really notice a few ms I imagine...)
hell....post some ideas :P

I got a sweet deal on my Dell 19" LCD monitor...with a business discount coupon it only ran $299US and retailed for $499.
Samsung makes them for Dell and their version [of the same monitor] retails for about $650US.
But now I see all these other brands are dropping in price too!
I think if you can afford it, they're all worth the money(at this time anyways).
my .02¢

Dell 1905 FP $270 on special . Same thing as one of the samsungs listed above.
or (What I own)
Dell 2005fpw (I bought for $450 on special, it has gone as low as $350).
The dell 2005fpw is 20" widescreen and looks beautiful.

I suspect your monitor may fail next. :(
First thing you will start to see the text getting lighter and lighter
Before long it will be hard to read
You may even question your eyesight as even the smilies lose their colour :strongsad
If I were you, I'd just give it up as a bad idea

LCD "response time" is as useless a spec as "wattage" in cheap Chinese PSUs.
As there is no generally accepted method of describing the "response" you are being told nothing.
For instance, one could describe the same monitor two different ways...
"8 ms response time!" means the pixel goes from one state to another in 8ms.
"16ms time" means the pixel goes from one state to another and then back again in 16ms.
Same monitor, but describing it the first way makes it sound like a "gamers" dream and the second sounds like Granny's POS.
The only way to buy a screen to to preview it in person.
At the shop, I have been ordering the same part# for 19" Elements LCDs since November.
All three deliveries have been different units.
As there are only a few manufacturers of the components, most of the models are just rebadged by the resellers and the spec can change at their whim. It's a real crap shoot when you open the box...you may have a gem, you may not, it just depends on what they could get to sell that month.

you could've just said that clocker and I would've gotten the general idea :P

I recommend the Dell LCD's. I run two of them (an 18" and a 19") and I love them. I would recommend finding the 1901FP over the 1905 though. The 1901FP has a thinner frame and comes with an adjustable height stand.
