I did a search, but all the sites suggested dvdr-core.org (RIP). What are the best sites for downloading DVD-R's now?? I am a power user at EliteTorrents (my favourite right now), Torrentbytes and Filelist. I'm hearing good things about pisexy and a few things about TorrentIt.. what are the top sites right now?

I am blown away by pisexy's DVD collection. It's awesome. They have old-non-scene releases (which I think are sorely missed on other scene-only sites) as well as scene releases. I thought that the lack of seeds would be a problem (downloading a file with 3S/3L and its still downloading pretty fast). Pisexy and EliteTorrents are my sites of choice right now. Also a member at TorrentBytes and FileList but haven't used them in a long time.

It is true that we cannot compeate with ET on seeders, but when you have 100K more users then how can we, but some how we still manage to make ET look small in many other ways...

thats true but with the sucky speeds at pisexy it would take forever to dl a 3-4gb file

Sucky speeds at pisexy? I easily get 200-300kb/s on brand new torrents. Once they're well seeded, I have no problem reaching my 500kb/s max. Pisexy speeds are great if you upload enough.

In 9 days I have downloaded 8 movies at PiSexy.
I have a ratio of 1.5 (down 30, up 45). 8 movies in 9 days is not a bad return. I am a member at both PS and ET, and haven't used ET since switching to PS.
My only gripe is that I still have to wait until friday to get my Power Abuser status, because of the 2 week wait. I have a few requests to make.

Another minor gripe I have... and many people will disagree with me on this, but I don't like how when you click the TORRENT, that it automatically starts downloading. I somewhat preffer going to the comments/info before downloading (like most torrent sites). I know there is a comments link, but I'm just used to the other way (clicking the torrent link takes you to comments/info). Minor gripe, I know.

It has a good number of PAL DVDs as well, and if the format is a problem there is always the option to buy a DVD player that will handle both, you never know you might have one that does now and not even know it...
Also I see you manages to leech a DVD anyways without continuing to seed, not a good way to start off on a torrent site..

OK, i know we all diverge, etc. but heres my view of things:
- TorrentIt has a nice collection, some rarer iNTERNAL DVDRs made by its members, but i dont see many seeds on the older files (still its impressive when compared to the likes of TL for example)
- Oink's Pink Palace I have no idea since I havent got an invite yet
- Wild-Bytes is at times much faster than TL in getting latest 0sec material, and has some nice DVDs but not a big collection at all, same here as TL. (Good for other stuff though, latest DOX, etc)
- Demonoid has fallen into decline since I was born, its sometimes got rarer stuff but I cant find any DVDs I want (its got tons of other stuff though, but few seeders)
- FINALLY, PiSEXY (yeah baby!!!) has the HOTTEST DVD COLLECTION I have seen in the many years I have lived to date. Yesterday I stayed on until 3:00am checking out the collection, and it just NEVER ENDS, there are some OLD iNTERNAL RARE releases made by members with specs like 10 PASS CCE - heck even the crews dont go that far. Very impressive. I advise everyone to give it a shot. Oh yes and I found the DVD I was looking for!!! The RARE and otherwise UNFINDABLE Hide And Seek REPLICA joint!!! with 4 Alternate Endings and Deleted Scenes, in other places of the trade I could only see the CORRuPT cheapstake. PLUS, whoever says PS is slow, needs a kick up the ***! Im getting 70/90 kb/s on it (my total bandwidth for DL is 120 so dont hit me) while I dl other stuff! In other words, maxing out my conn!! Definitely Pisexy all the way.
- Still looking for Oink, WDGAF, Filelist and TorrentByte invites (if anyone has any, give me a shot).

Where are the DVD-R's?
Ever since my favorite site went down I have been looking for a replacement DVD-R site. I have been searching endlessly through the forums and joining every site I can find. Chasing false leads like "Torrentbytes". Took me weeks to get on (they don't use email or IRC invites) just to find out they have 35 DVD-r's (I usually have more then that on my hard drives). Sorry, don't mean to put'em down, seems to be a good site (40 k members and hard as hell to get on to) but they may just not be into DVD-r as much as me.
Anyone know of a site as good as ET was (or close) for DVD-r. Which basically means: old stuff, independent stuff, brand new stuff, only quality stuff, great speeds, and more stuff stuff. Members who know that CAM sucks and don't mislabel it TC.
No need to mention torrent search engines :wacko: . Or any site with less then 100 or so unless they da bomb.

Yea, been there and hundred other lists with a hundred other sites. Wasted time trying to find the best sites for DVD-r. Just trying to narrow it down and maybe find some sites dedicated to DVD-r that I have not found.
That list does nothing for people looking for dvd-r except wastes their time. Heck, noobs would not even get on the good ones on the list unless people are handing out invites without checking people out (which kind of defeats the invite system)
If it was categorized and rated per category , that would be cool. Have not seen a list like that except stupid ones that rate torrentspy or mininova as the best site.
Hardly erer found a decent site that was easy to get on to, so why waste peoples time. Ya want the best mp3 tracker –go here/ best porn tracker– go there. No commercials for ad ridden search engines with virus ridden torrents, just members opinions on best trackers for specific types of torrents.

Easy question. pisexy , Right now we have 550 on site. from cams to scene DVD 5 to DVD9. Anyone can and does upload. the problem is that it is a Closed site. Not even invites are given out at this time. Keep your eyes on this forum for when invite open again. :)

I think Bitsoup has a lot of DVD (300 or so) but de download speeds are somethimes vey poor :(

Pisexy is awesome, really top uploaders and plenty of dvd-r to choose from, new and old which is why i prefer it over any other site. the only dedicated dvd-r site i know of know is the asian dvd club, which obviously only chinese, japanese, korean films but there is some damn good ones.

I had actually signed up at pisexy like 2 days before ET went down, so I layed low with my downloads and such, only to find that since I didnt get a chance to download from pisexy they pruned my account.
Clicking on signup now just gives you a blank screen, so, I cant really say how good pisexy is. I wish there was another good site out there, I ended up getting another 800GB of storage so I'm kinda feeling bored without a good BT site.

What is the best dvd-r site, specifically if possible ntsc formatted ones? Does anyone have any suggestions? I have alot of BT sites but most of them have only a few if at that, or that have a ton but they are all 3rd party or titles that I have no idea of. I'm looking for mainstream movies, usually the newer the better.
Just complete out and out dvd-rips. Any help anyone? Aside from the private ones that would rather not be bothered, for example pisexy. It does little to no good to advertise how good a site is if its totally closed off. From what I hear, they're good, but like I said, useless to know, if they got nothin to show.

Do you mean uncompressed? If you do, you won't find to much out there if the DVD had more then 4.6 GB. Most people just don't want them cause they are too big and good dual-layer disks are too costly (might as well by the retail movie).
Ntsc is everywhere of course. You sound like you want quaility, so stick to the private trackers only and read the comments. That the best part of private trackers, if the quaility sucks, it won't be there long and you won't waste your bandwidth.
I assume you realize that the movie company has to actually make a DVD before it can be ripped so anything real new is usually just TC, TS or Cam put in DVD format.

Thats what I hear, although, it doesnt do anyone much good to say how good they are if no one can go there that isnt already there. Pretty pointless to advertise a closed group if you ask me. Just my 2 cents. I'll definately check them out though, if/when they ever open up.

The site only became a closed site recently, I think it was still open when some earlier posts where made. Please read the whole thread before you make pointless comments.
To be honest, there are still ways to get an invite. I can't provide one though and thats all I'm gonna say here.

Ahh, I dont remember when they became a closed site, all I remember is stopping getting files when ET went down which was when I got an account there. I had a huge UL/DL ratio on ET so I didnt wanna get into any trouble etc. I came back and my account was purged because I couldnt use it, at that time, which was maybe 2 weeks, perhaps longer, I dont remember, I couldnt sign back up.
Anyway, the point of my post wasnt to demoralize any of your posts or anyone elses per se, but lets say someone is reading this post because they wat to know the best DVD-R Torrent Sites, what good is it for them to hear all this awesome talk about a site they dont even have a remote possibility to get access to. Does that make any sense?
And theres always ways to get an invite if you know the people who control the Admin CP lol. Anyway, in response to not telling me anyway, thats perfectly fine and I would respect your decision. I however probably would not hold the same fact to you however, given the right circumstances. Of course in this situation I wouldnt expect any sort of info on how to beat a system that is subjectively closed such as membership.
In the end, to be completely honest my concerns arent who I share files with other then it not being people who would get me in trouble, its getting what I need, when I need it, in a timely fashion, and also giving that back to the other people who also help me get what I need. If that makes any sense.

ET is not a "closed site" ET is a site that no longer exsists. Accounts where not purged, the site was taken down by the Fed's and a big warning page put in it's place. For your safety, I hope you didn't spend to much time trying to sign onto that or create a new account with the Feds.

Pisexy is and has been up and running. It is just not open for new members. I used the term "closed site" because it was said that way over there.

if it's DVDrs you want, then the place to find them are the newsgroups...just about every movie released gets posted to the groups, but it requires a slight learning curve to use them...but it's worth it!

Sorry to tell you the good news but Newsgroups are truly hands down the best for DVDr's of all types and year.Currently listing over 5000 DVD's here is the first page of DVD'rs at newzbin right now sorted 1-500 first page.So you are totally wrong newsgroups are like a mini blockbuster video if you type in the movie you want there is a better than good chance you will find it if not there are irc channels where you can request movies to be posted to a newsgroup.The people that post these movies 97% of the time will fill your request's if they can.

There are not enough seeders and leechers there.
Even if you have 100mb / 100bm broadband, your download speed is still very slow at that site.

From what I hear invites are closed to PiSexy right now. But hey if they are open you can always throw one my way.
I have also heard alot of good things about PiSexy and their DVDr selection.
