This is a fairly dependable server list, it leaves out server such
as the sonnyboy servers for good reason.

actually servers dont make a big difference, since they only provide you the sources, i personally dont care much, just connect to any server when i fire up my mule and then often disconnect, most sources come from source exchange anyway :)

The real DonkeyServers, 62.241.53.* on port 4242. They're located in Germany.
The fake ones (72.51.37.*) are located in Los Angeles, United States. Be careful. :nuke:

Another misconception... servers do not host files.. the number that you are referring to are the number of clients (people using emule) connected to it.. best option would be to connect to server with a good number of clients yet having a low ping time.. that gives the optimum results.. also why not let emule select the server of its own liking?

Do not know why people have a fascination for particular servers just cause they see many connections in the same.. one should always try to look for servers that have both a good number of people connected to it and also has a low ping time

Donkey Servers are good, but i'm a little scared, coz recently they are started to ban some search queries etc. (search for "harry potter" in donkey server 2, and you'll see that you can't find anything..)

When I am downloading and sometimes i don't have many sources i will connect to each server independently for a minute to quickly get all the sources off that server and repeat the process with each server on my list. When i do this i notice that I often find more sources for all my files than I would have if i just connected to a single server with the most files and users.
