    Mrs. C: "Great, "just great."

    She paused

At first I wasn't going to say anything, I closed my eyes, trying to control my breathing.

Mrs. C: What happened" she paused and moistened her lips.

I didn't have anything periodically to kill the pain.

Mrs. C: " Oh #%!8!!!!!!!!!" her voice sounded stunned.

I got up, she told me to sit down, I stood there for a minute, trying to think.

After a moment Tentatively I asked "How long has it been like this?"

Her forehead creased in thought. "I figure you'll be able to fix it?"

"Well, what do we do now" she said trying to conceal her annoyance,

Would you rather work a normal 9-5 five days a week or do a 12 hour shift from 8 and end up working seven days out of every fortnight?

This is the conundrum I'm faced with. I'll let my decision be decided by a common vote.

12 hour shift to the max.

Think of all that free time you could spend pulling your pud, getting wopped, reading comics and posting pish on the internets. Fucking heavenly, that.

I've always preferred the efficiency of going to work fewer times. However, there are some issues to take into account:

    1. Your age. How much difficulty would you have working a long shift?
    2. The type of work. Is this physically demanding? Tedious?
    3. Do you have a family that would miss seeing you from 8 to 8 for a number of days?

For most positions, I find a 10 hour, 4 day week to be the best balance.

Funnily enough, I do have the option of doing a 10 hour shift. Five days one week, three the next. The downside of this shift is it clashes badly with Mrs Cheese's work.

Sadly, it's not quite like that. But at least in my mind I can say I only work 6 months of the year.

    Sup all, by the way.

Mrs Cheese is out on the lash, so I'm home with some wine, wrestling and the baby. I had best not get anything confused.
