Our sources say that Microsoft is getting ready to announce the launch date and the price of the Xbox 360 on August 17 at 9:30 A.M. EST sharp.

Won't know till then, suppose to be in November tho.

Based on an unconfirmed source within the staff of Walmart, it is now suggested that the retail price of the Xbox 360 in North America is US$299.99. Also the release date for the product would be November 4th. Microsoft is yet to make an official statement, we will have to wait as more information submerges for confirmation.

300 isnt that bad, it'll drop but still not bad. from what i heard from other people they are booked to hell and back, people already on 2nd shipment waiting list :p

The system will hit November 'cause that's just before the Christmas shopping season starts.

It will cost $300 but cost MS $375 to make. They won't losing that much money per unit.

Keep in mind they are still using DVDs which ain't next gen technology so it's cheaper.

Looks like it will be a hackers paradise....again.

Source at all? On the date and price? Just a lot of different dates/prices have been going round as "LOLOL DIS IZ DA REAL DATE LOL & PRICE LOLOL".

How much do you think it will bump the original xbox's price down?
