Shit......... I used to use this hand in hand with DVD Decryptor... Now both have stopped dead in its tracks....

Backup Plan: AnyDvd and CloneDVD from SlySoft (http://www.slysoft.com/).. Not free, but does the same job. :)

Why a backup plan? DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink still work.

Damn, this sucks! I just went to the site about 5 minutes ago and saw that it was down. Crap. I wish the forum was still up if nothing else.

Anyone know how to get a hold of Cynthia?

Now, the rumor mill is churning some interesting speculation regarding this matter. According to folklore and legend, the author had left the project a while ago, hence the lack of updates. Where oh where did our friend from DVD Shrink end up? The most plausible speculation suggests that he is now working for Nero, and still very active in the DVD "shrinking" business.

By examining both DVD Shrink and Nero Recode, the similarities are unmistakable.

Below is a current screen shot of Nero Recode:

While DVD Shrink has been discontinued on the "official" site, keep in mind the author put little effort into the site's operation. So for now, DVD Shrink has been discontinued. Whether this will remain so...only time can tell.

The only thing I can see missing from Nero Recode is the Re-author button.

Well, perhaps DVDShrink doesnt need updating, but DVDDecryptor sure does.

cant do hitch and dvdshrink cant decrypt alot of things that why they said use dvd decrypter to get image on pc then use shrink as protection would of been removed. Decrypter cannot decrypt alot of new films has its CSS key does not know the new codes unlike AnyDVD which does as its updated.

I don't get it. My DVD Decryptor didn't have a problem with Hitch. In fact it hasn't failed me yet even with CSS.

hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm well maybe there last update covered it how can they keep updating css tho if they dont make the program n e more how would it work. I know dvdshrink tho deffo crappy at decrypting thats why dvd decrypter was sued inconjunction with dvdshrink or am i mistaken. I use anydvd and clone dvd2 aswell as dvd decrypter and shrink i use all the programs i prefer Slysoft programs. Decrypter was great but shrink kinda sucked still use it when i need it tho.

A Bronx Tale is on DVD for years... maybe you disc is scratched or something. I have that movie (original) and I can make a backup of that movie.
