hey guys i just got system mechanic (trial which will become full version soon, :shifty: ), neway it came with a trial version of kaspersky anti-virus. Just wanted to noe if it was any good, it seems kinda poorly programmed cuz it pops up viruses as it finds them asking u what u want to do with the file when u scan 4 viruses, this gets annoying especially when u got a lot s*#$ on ur comp, just wanted an opinion, thanxxxx

It has been around a long time, and is a tested & trusted AV. Their firewall app isn't that good, but if you've got a free trial, I'd say go ahead and use the AV if you like it.
If not...there's plenty of other for "free"

If you want the best AV off them all, try NOD32, it rulles them all, :)

I still find the NAV Corp version to be the best combination of effectiveness/protection and resource usage.
As long as the anti-virus app has good a good detection record, updates its definitions frequently, and transparantly scans incoming files, it comes down to a matter of personal preference.
