£1 each for older movie rentals??? I pay $1 Canadian for any movie rental, even new releases!

UK it's about £3-£4 for a new DVD rental release.

£1 for older/childs movies.

PS: Three question marks makes your 1337.

If i had ment 3 and question mark i would have said:

3 and question marks make you 1337.

£3-£4 is what UK-ers pay.

New DVD's are about £12-£18 with Boxsets anything between £30-£60 depending on ammount of discs and such.

I edited in no such 3

Makes no difference to me how much you pay for rentals, your next to America, and nothing can make up for that.

Yeah ... I suppose someone has to do that in the first place, eh

I should start a thread, stickied naturellement, so that we can request Canadians get various films from their local Blockbuster to upload for oppressed foreigners.

Well, wherever you get 'em from then.
It's from Videoself. An automated system that is open 24/7 and has 6 hour rentals for $1.

http://www.videoself.ca/1_home.html

I can even browse online to see what's available and reserve it so that the dispenser gives me the DVD as soon as I insert my card. No clerk involved.

Mind, I don't rent DVDs - 'cos they're too expensive when you can just download 'em :ermm:

I've not seen any in Wales, and it appears to be far too complicated for English folk.

Maybe it's just on the continent at the minute.

You need something like Netflix or Blockbuster Online.

You put the movies you want in queue. They arrive at your house. When you're done you send them back in a postage paid doohicky. Netflix is $17 per month, 3 movies at a time.

When I receive my movies, I rip them and put them in mail the same day most times.

More movies for your daughter....

Rock A Doodle
Secret Of Nimh
The Sword And The Stone
The Rescuers
The Rescuers Down Under
All Dogs Go To Heaven 1 and 2
The Land Before Time (many sequels)
The Incredibles
FernGully
Rover Dangerfield
Charlotte's Web

Also check out old Hanna Barbbara cartoons and others with Quickdraw Mcgraw and Snagglepuss

The main heavyweights in animation are Dreamworks, Disney, and Don Bluth Productions (he's the guy behind the old Dragon's Lair and Space Ace laserdisc games).

If you are looking for an automated rental machine, I just had a look at the new products from DVD3--they are a Montreal-based company and their machines (unlike Videoself and NIKO) are all in perfect English and French (not Italian!)... It's a much better product! I can't tell you much more than that because I signed an NDA, but you should go check it out.

Try the local library.Usually you can browse the catalogue online and reserve. There is usually a waiting list for the newer releases but what do you want for free.Plus you get them for a week hhmmm.only takes an hour to rip and burn....:D
