Update Windows with Firefox (http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/) ...no Genuine Advantage validation required.

Seems to work just fine, but YMMV.

Hey kool thanks clocker, you have to click edit, allow to get it to install just incase it doesn't d/l . :)

Just tryed it works great , I had just reformatted last week so it found some updated drivers for my network card . :)

Crashes FF for me half way through downloading the updates :(

Me too but reinstalled and no problem ,close your browser before the install . :)

Yeah I had to uninstall then reinstall. AOK now.

Works great.

There's been a network driver that hanging around for some time, but it would not install from IE. Just installed it fine with this. :thumbsup:

The more I think of it ,this thread should be pinned ? All the trouble people seem to be having with winupdates and illegal keys . Worth a Firefox D/L anyway. :)

if you guys are talking about the genuine windows validation check that can be disables in internet explorer also, just follow the instructions found here. (http://home19.inet.tele.dk/jys05000/)

Same here. Managed to fix my initial problems but it freezes or outright crashes when trying to install the updates.

Will be great when another version of the plugin is released though. :)

Ya hopefully.

Would be better if Microsoft would just make their windows update work with other browsers. :rolleyes:
