I have, due to my ignorance, been banned from bitsoup. I suspect I did not keep my ratio up to date. Anyone have any ideas how I can reinstated?

thanks in advance

The last time I checked it was around .7 (ie below 1.0). I downloaded three short porn movies (first time I have done that from bitsoup). None of the three uploaded while I was downloading. The next thing I knew, I was banned. I guess there is a lesson there, but not quite sure what it is...........

you had not received a warning before that though ?

No, there were no warnings. I was actually in the process of downloading when I realized that none of the three movies I mentioned were uploading. Time frame given was unknown. I had never seen this before. When I checked the bitsoup site, I could not access it at all. To this day, I get error 403..you are not authorized to view this site.

I can access pirate bay and torrent spy..much slower than bitsoup..

Guess one has to learn from ones mistakes.

thanks for the interest

Like to inform you that the only ones who get banned without futher notice are cheaters. Every member with a low ratio get's warned, more then once!

So i really don't know what you are, what you have done or didn't do but there must be a solid reason for your ban.

Otherwise you have a connection problem, that's beyond our control .

Thank you, a Bitsoup Moderator

BitSoup, bannin' newcomers since 2006.

I think the message is clear. Just find another site to be a member of, there are some pretty good open ones.

That's pretty stupid, I need a site with a lot of iso files. Would have donated. Or will if I found a good one. One not full of crap I have to weed thru.

Kind of confused as I was always an active member and always donated so much that my ratio was astronomical, tried to upload, and never flamed anyone or did anything to my knowledge that led to my account being "disabled" any reasons as to why this is so, and how do I get back, a little confused as to how this occurred and due to the fact you cant send a message to the mods unless you are logged in how do you figure out what you did especially when you did not receive any warnings of such.

You should try IRC to talk to their staff. Most of the time, support channels are free to join. The details seem to be the following:

Server: irc.bitsoup.org
Channel: #bitsoup

If you don't know how to join, search Google for a beginner's guide, there are thousands of them.

Good luck!

unplug your router or modem and hope for a new ip, if it is that important to you...you should then be able to start a fresh account.

IPT is far superior to bitsoup and easy to get into.

I was a long time user of Bitsoup. I even donated once. After that they removed my account (while I was on the site). So I made a new one and contacted the site admin. They asked me for my account info, I told them and never heard from them again. I vowed NEVER to share anything I got from there. Now my IP is banned. :(

I lost my children's college fund on the stock market so I decided it was only fair to attempt stock fraud to get the money back. Imagine my shock ,not to mention moral outrage when the police caught me and proceeded to treat me like a common criminal.
Anyway the judge tried to explain to me that it was a voluntary choice on my part to put my money where I did and life essentially owes me nothing but I mean he's probably paid off my the banks or something to tell me that right?

Also define cool.

Apparently you don't have to feed or house adopted children either. In fact, it's probably recommended you turn them out to prostitution. This all happens in vboom's world of course, he's not quite set on how the real world works yet, and at his age we shouldn't expect him to have it all figured out.

Maybe I shouldn't have tried to "cheat" my way back to good ratio

Good point.

I'm surprised they deleted a donor account, though. Deletion immunity is usually among the perks you get with that star next to your nickname.
