After i installed kaspersky antivirus personal 5.0 i was very happy with it. But after couple of days i realized that my HDD space was dissapering, especially after full scans. Do you know hot get my space back? I had 17GB and like in half an hour i had 14GB and it stopped there. I deleted all my backup files from system restore and now it is 16GB. I also deleted the backup files in Kaspersky. THere is still 1 gig that is not accounted for. Please help

Turn off System restore and reboot.

Perform and a clean up too.

Then it could be a good idea to perform a difragmentation... then make another reboot..

is the problem concerning system restore or not?.....because i was thinking of giving kaspersky another chance cuz i liked it so much except for the "taing too much space" part.

Found some info here from users with the same problem.

Hey see this from post #3 : Kaspersky takes up to 1 GB for the reports. Set the time for storing reports to 3 days and delete the folder "Reports". Maybe that was your lost space. And post #4 :)
