What Is The Best Modchip For Ps2

Can someone please tell me what is the best modchip for ps2?
is the soldering hard to do?
is it easy to mess up your ps2 while soldering?
I dont mind the swapping,but do the no solder chips work as well as the solder ones?
what is the best place to buy them(that ships out of the US)?

I have got the solder version, but asked a specialist to do it for me, as he said it would brake the ps2 if any soldering went wrong. I suppose the non solder must be a more easy-to-put in type but the non solder was alot cheaper so i got that.

how does it work?
have you tried it with dvd backups?rips?psone games?
